Rainbow Hued "It Girl" Irene Kim

Rainbow-hued hair, edgy street style, but she remained mysterious. Many people and different websites tagged her as a model, but she never walked the runway. Who was this pretty unicorn? She is also known as the new Alexa Chung.

She is Irene Kim, the newest "it girl" to grace the covers of fashion magazines and social networking sites. Recently, she was featured in teenvogue.com as "Korea's Rainbow Haired Muse". She is a model and now she is the global contributor for one of the top cosmetics company in the world, Estée Lauder. She has done a lot of different things, like showing everyone how to make rice wrap live on Snapchat along with her best friend and colorist Sunwoo Kim. These two are known to be the dynamic duo and beauty gurus in their own right. One day they decided to fix Irene's black hair because of boredom. The Technicolor hair then came to being and that's what started Irene's modeling career. She said that changing her hair color really did change her life. She thinks it gave her that trademark.

However, she admits that her agency wasn't fond of the idea at first. They feared she wouldn't be able to get any work. But now people recognize her right away as the girl with the rainbow hair, she explained.

These days the unofficial K-beauty ambassador, who grew up in both Seattle and Seoul, is making a name for herself in the West by helping the most relevant trends from the East be recognized in the global market. She has her own signature style which is edgy and unique especially for people in the West. Now, she is a global contributor alongside Kendal Jenner for that same brand. The perks of her international upbringing and its influence on her impeccable, bold and unique style gave her an insightful outlook about change. She said that it's more courageous to change than to stay the same.
