Simon Mejia (Bomba Estéreo member) said in a statement, "When I was told that Will Smith wanted to work jointly on a remix with Bomba, I couldn't believe it," "This opportunity to work with Will was the further side of anything we have dreamed of... It's just magic."

However, Will Smith, who has been called by Newsweek in April 2007 as the most powerful actor in Hollywood, revealed that he has recorded 30 new tracks. As the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air actor was speaking to Zane Lowe for Beats 1 Radio, the actor said that this fresh run of creativity has come in between shoots for the forthcoming American superhero film based on the DC Comics - Suicide Squad, and that he has thus far produced "six or seven [songs] that I really like".

The Bad Boys star said, "I have so many things I want to say, and I'm having difficulty to say them in a way that fit the flavor of music I tend to like," Smith added, "I'm from a major division of time where it's 16 bars and hook, 16 bars and hook, bridge, hook, and out."

In the same interview, Smith made it known to the public that he has intentions of having a tour with his former collaborator, American hip hop and R&B disc jockey - DJ Jazzy Jeff. Smith and DJ Jazzy Jeff released their hit single 'Summertime' in 1991. The duo momentarily came together again in 2013 for the Graham Norton Show, but now, Will Smith clearly expressed that they will venture into their first full tour.
