After a year of introducing the digital prayer group to fans, Jeremy Lin is now sharing several prayer requests he received from his followers so that they can surely begin praying for each other.
The Charlotte Hornets point guard, sent an email entitled, "Jeremy's Prayer Request 12". Lin expressed his gratitude to his virtual prayer group for putting forward their prayers and for inviting people to pray for one another.
Lin's email reads: "The JLIN team has been meeting to pray for your prayer requests and we wanted to invite you all to join us in praying,"
"Thank you for sharing and remember to: 'Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus,'" he quoted Philippians 4:4-7 from the bible.
The email also includes almost 100 prayer request given by those members who signed in to Lin's group. He grouped those prayers into seven categories.
The basketball star firstly focused on healing. He also shares prayers for families with strained relationships. The next prayer focused on personal devotion. Fourthly, he prayed for the churches and missionaries to live as a salt and light of the world. He also uttered to God to strengthen and protect those missionaries and continue to increase their joy as they serve God.
He then moved his prayer for provision in school, finances and work. The player closed his prayer focusing on the global issues in the whole world like the Syria and other parts of Asia.
The NBA player decided to put up his prayer group after his fans inquired about ways they may possibly plead on his behalf.
