Marvel Rumors: Will Valkyrie Finally Be Introduced In 'Thor: Ragnarok?' [SPOILERS]

It looks like the Hulk isn't the only other Marvel character who will make an appearance in 'Thor: Ragnarok!'

Remember when some concept art from 'Thor: The Dark World' were leaked by Josh Nizzi, who was commissioned to create the artwork? Among the pictures were two images of Valkyrie, the leader of the warrior goddesses known as the Valkyrior. Unfortunately, the Asgardian warrior never made it to the final cut of the second Thor movie and was possibly sidelined to appear in a different Marvel film.

It may be time for Valkyrie to make her big screen debut. According to Birth Death Movies, an inside source has revealed that Thor and Bruce Banner will encounter Valkyrie and the Valkyrior in 'Ragnarok.'

But who is Valkyrie? And why is her appearance in 'Thor: Ragnarok' such a big deal?

Valkyrie was originally named Brunnhilde and was chosen by Odin to lead the Valkyrion as they watch over the battlefields to choose the dead who can enter Valhalla. She is a strong warrior with amazing fighting skills who can outmatch most Asgardian men. One of Valkyrie's incarnations was an adversary of the Hulk and she has even been brought back to life by Doctor Strange.

But what does Valkyrie's appearance in 'Thor: Ragnarok' mean? There is a possibility that she could go head-to-head with the Hulk in the film and the character could be an interesting way to connect Doctor Strange with the Asgardians.

Valkyrie's presence will probably do little in lightening up the serious tone of 'Thor 3,' but that doesn't mean the studio isn't prepared.

According to Birth Death Movies, 'Thor: Ragnarok' could be the darkest of all three films about the Norse god since it will undoubtedly feature an Asgardian apocalypse. However, Marvel is taking extra precautions to keep things light for the audiences by hiring 'What We Do In Shadows' director Taika Waititi to helm the film.

Find out if Valkyrie will appear in 'Thor: Ragnarok' when the film premieres on November 3, 2017.
