In case you haven't heard, James Gunn has just moved to Atlanta to start filming 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.' The 'Slither' director has just confirmed this detail about the highly anticipated sequel in a Facebook Q&A, where he also answered all the important questions about the film.
First off, what will 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2' be like?
"We can expect something a little bit in the vein of the first movie and also different," Gunn said, later confirming that Karen Gillan will have a larger role in 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2."
"Nebula is an important character," he said, admitting that he favored the Nebula Funko POP toy.
It also looks like audiences will be meeting interesting new characters in the sequel.
"I'm not going to give names and I'm won't give numbers either, but there will be at least one new character in 'Guardians of the Galaxy,'" Gunn said.
If you're hoping that that "one new character" will be Adam Warlock, don't expect James Gunn to confirm the rumors anytime soon.
"You guys gotta wait and see," he said. "Everything's going to be different in the 'Infinity Wars.' I'm a lot more concerned with 'Vol. 2' than I am with 'Infinity Wars.'"

Is there any possibility of a 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3?'
"Probably! If the second one does well," Gunn said. "You guys will have to go see the second one."
And finally, James Gunn has some good news for fans who are hoping for a 'Guardians of the Galaxy' spinoff film.
"There's a lot of other Marvel cosmic properties that I'd be interested in helping usher to the screen," he admitted. "I talk about it a lot but, if I said too much here, Marvel might track me down and shoot me."
He added, "As long as I'm working with Marvel, I'll probably be working on 'Guardians' and 'Guardians'-related projects."
'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2' is scheduled for release on May 5, 2017.
