McDonald’s Breakfast: All-Day Option Big Success, Could Golden Arches Fate Be Changing With Better Public Perception?

The biggest fast food chain in the world hasn't really gotten a lot of things right in the past year (if any at all), having had to close hundreds of stores all over the United States besides cutting back on menu items and trying to become more transparent with their menus, all these strategies doing little to improve their numbers - but could they have finally hit jackpot with the new all-day McDonald's breakfast?

After years of public demand, a few weeks back the Golden Arches chain finally caved and began offering all-day McDonald's breakfast all over the country, even if the offer was fairly limited, and it seems to have paid off in the end.

According to consumer research firm YouGov BrandIndex, the new McDonald's breakfast strategy, which sees the chain selling some of its most popular breakfast items, has managed to get the company to reach its highest public perception point in the past two years.

As AdAge's report on the McDonald's breakfast study reveals, the public perception of the company saw a positive response growth around September 24, not long after the chain announced their decision to serve breakfast throughout the day, about two weeks before the official launch of the new service.

For more than a year, McDonald's public perception has been below average in the fast food industry; now, for the past few weeks, the Golden Arches chain jumpstarted to the top of the industry and has remained there since, which signals that better times could be coming for McDonald's.

"In our best judgment, it would seem like those events are related and that's what would explain some of the recent sentiment improvement in McDonald's brand scores," said YouGov BrandIndex's CEO Ted Marzilli to CNBC regarding the new McDonald's breakfast data.

In any case, unsurprisingly enough, the McDonald's breakfast strategy was the final step in the company's new rebirth!
