Hugh Jackman Shows Interest On The Role of Steve Irwin For A Biopic Film

Steve Irwin had left a legacy in the industry with his passion for animals and nature. And a biopic film about him is such a good idea to inspire more people in the same field that he left. The idea of his life story being featured in a film has not been formally planned, but Hugh Jackman was bold enough to admit that he would like to take the role if this idea was materialized.

In an interview with Yahoo! Movies UK, Jackman who is currently starring in his new film "Pan," rendered to the press his desire to play the role of Steve Irwin in case a biopic about the late wildlife expert who was known as The Crocodile Hunter. It figures since they are both natives of Australia and Jackman also said that he had the honor of sharing some wonderful moments with Irwin from way back. The actor didn't think twice when he said he is "definitely considering it," referring to portraying Irwin in a biopic.

Inquisitr wrote that Irwin's daughter Bindi also think that Jackman fits the role to play her father. Bindi is now 17 years of age and is currently working on Dancing With The Stars as one of the celebrity dancers.

There are rumors about the biopic happening although there are no concrete and final plans about its production. While Bindi is fine with Jackman playing the role of her late father, Terri Irwin (Steve's wife) is not sold out about the idea. Yahoo! Lifestyle's New Idea published a report regarding a plan that Bindi and Terri were having in celebration of Steve Irwin's 10-year death anniversary and that they were thinking to create an official biopic.

Terri was rumored to still find the actor that would fit her late husband's character for the biopic if ever this becomes a real project.
