For the past three years, it seemed like the Duchess of Cambridge's little sister had found love at last, as Pippa Middleton and Nico Jackson looked, besides alarmingly attractive together, very much in love - but now, news has come out that the famous couple has split.
News outlets are currently reporting that Pippa Middleton and Nico Jackson ended their longtime relationship about two weeks ago after rumors had even circulated of a possible engagement between the two - and not long after the split, Prince William's sister-in-law was seen spending time with former flame James Matthews.
According to Us Weekly, though, the reason behind Pippa Middleton and Nico Jackson's split was much less morbid, as the couple wasn't really spending too much time together by the time they finally decided to call it quits.
"It was mostly due to geographical issues," said a source close to Pippa Middleton and Nico Jackson about their recent split. "They were rarely together since his move [to Switzerland] and it just caused too much strain on their relationship. They still love and respect each other."
As E! Online reports, for Pippa Middleton and Nico Jackson, it was all a problem of long distance not working for the pair: in all, the two were seemingly too busy working to spend some real time with each other, which caused "a lot of their problems" as both of them, specially Kate Middleton's maid of honor, spent a lot of time working away from her longtime love.
According to People Magazine, Pippa has been spending some time with former loves in the days after her split, including Matthews, Alex Loudon and pal Tom Kingston now that she's on vacation around the Caribbean and enjoying life by attending sporting events.
In all, it seems like Pippa Middleton and Nico Jackson's split was fairly amicable, so hopefully it's all for the best!
