2015 has been a year filled with exciting film premieres of beloved franchises, from two Marvel Cinematic Universe films (namely "Avengers: Age of Ultron" and later "Ant-Man") to this year's highly awaited sequel "Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens," and Daniel Craig's "Spectre," his second to last film as James Bond, is one of the strong plates of 2015 - but his attitude about it is not exactly appreciated.
A few days back, American actress Ellen Pompeo, most famous for her role as Meredith Grey in Shonda Rhimes' ongoing primetime soap "Grey's Anatomy," tweeted that the English actor was "ungrateful" over Daniel Craig's "Spectre" comments lately, when he said he was sick of playing the role - and it seems Sony Pictures, the film's producers, are getting sick of his attitude.
According to Page Six, after the recent Daniel Craig "Spectre" comments, Sony Pictures exec have had enough with the actor's attitude, telling him to "shut up" and quit bashing the project weeks ahead of its official premiere date.
As The Daily Mail reports, Daniel Craig's "Spectre" attitude comes not from his long-running portrayal of the role (this will be his fourth outing as 007) but rather from the troubled shoot, as they ran into different problems including reshoots last month and Craig's famous knee injury that ultimately required surgery.
"Craig is pretentious and thinks he's better than Bond, that it doesn't give him the creative range he needs," said one Hollywood insider about Daniel Craig's "Spectre" outburst, according to Fox News. "Plus he hasn't had a big hit movie outside of the franchise, and he blames that on Bond."
The film, the second and last Sam Mendes-directed film of the franchise after Oscar-winning "Skyfall" from 2012, will be premiering in late October in the U.K. and early November in the U.S. - will Daniel Craig's "Spectre" survive the bad press of its star?
