Raven-Symone ‘The View’: ‘Cosby Show’ Star Stirs Controversy AGAIN, Wouldn’t Hire Someone With ‘Black’ Name Like ‘Watermelondrea’ [VIDEO]

While "Last Week Tonight" host John Oliver has pretty much deemed Whoopi Goldberg the queen of inappropriate comments on the morning talk show host, it seems like every few weeks Raven-Symone's "The View" comments stir up controversy regarding her views on race - and now she's taking on black names.

In a time when campaigns like "Black Lives Matter" are making such a huge amount of noise over a necessary reset when it comes to the way things are handled with racism in America, any black person's support is appreciated, and Raven-Symone's "The View" comments are either very often taken out of context or very rarely thought out by the former child star.

According to TMZ, the latest Raven-Symone "The View" controversy began last Thursday, when the "Cosby Show" alum admitted she definitely discriminates when it comes to names, and wouldn't hire someone for a job if their name is something like "Watermelondrea."

"I'm not about to hire you if your name is 'Watermelondrea,'" went the latest Raven-Symone "The View" comments, Perez Hilton reports, as the panel was discussing names, as she added that even as a black woman she wouldn't take seriously a job application by a woman with an ethnic name. "It's just not gonna happen!"

As Salon.com reports, Whoopi, whose real name is Caryn Elaine Johnson, stared at her in disbelief after those comments, understandably enough.

Of course, once again, Raven-Symone's "The View" comments stirred hell on social media, with many users pointing out how ridiculous it was for the "That's So Raven" star, who has a remarkably black name, to say something of the sort.

Others pointed out that as a black lesbian woman, it was equally absurd that she would confront something like names in such a conservative way.
