Kylie Minogue Joins 'The Voice': Aussie Pop Star Replaces Jessie J On UK Version

Pop superstar Kylie Minogue is following her sister into the world of reality TV. The singer landed a role on the panel of Britain's "The Voice".

The Hollywood Reporter originally reported the Australian pop star's interest, but nothing was official at the time.

"Grammy award-winner Kylie has had worldwide record sales of more than 68 million and was given an Order of the British Empire for services to music," the BBC said in a press release. "With 10 world tours, 11 successful albums and over 50 hit singles internationally, Kylie is well placed to use her expertise to find and nurture new and exciting vocal talent."

Minogue will work with will.i.am and Tom Jones, who also returns for season three of the popular singing talent show the U.K. public broadcaster also confirmed on Wednesday.

Singer Jessie J and Danny O'Donoghue would be leaving the show, the Daily Mail reported.

Minogue also confirmed the news in a post on Twitter.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Minogue recently turned down a chance to appear on the Australian version of the show. Her sister Dannii has appeared on a number of shows including Britain's "The X Factor," "Australia's Got Talent," "Britain & Ireland's Next Top Model" and the "The X Factor Australia".

"Kylie is a hugely respected figure within the world of music and will be a fantastic addition to The Voice UK. She is a true pop icon, and her longevity in the industry is testament to her creative and musical ability," said Mark Linsey, controller of entertainment commissioning at the BBC.

The singer recently signed to rapper Jay Z's Roc Nation label.
