Almost everybody likes the salty canned meat called SPAM; who doesn't? Though it is not known what SPAM is made of, it never ceased to please most of the world's palette. After 78 years for packaging SPAM on a can, he company decided to give the salty treat t little upgrade.
As per Food Beast, SPAM is exploring a business venture. The company decided to produce bite size SPAM pieces in tetra packs. Each 1.4 ounce package is out in the shelves for "2.39 which is $1.70 per ounce. The bite size pieces are available on a variety of flavors such as teriyaki, classic, and bacon. Each pack consists almost 10 grams of protein per serving. The company however stood its ground that SPAM isn't jerky.
The bite sized SPAM pieces are already available in various areas which include Hawaii. SPAM fanatics world-wide are already psyched on when the meaty goodness would hit their shelves, the company however have not yet announced on when they would be sold.
Just this year, SPAM made the headlines as they started their SPAMRICAN TOUR early this year. As per Independent UK, the tour was an instant success as it would visit numerous states and ask the best chief in town to come up with a unique SPAM dish.
The all-time favorite "Kimchi Spam Musubi Croissant" which was created in Los Angeles. One of the renowned chief made a statement in regards to the tour which he participated in stating:
