Dina Eastwood defends her husband and told social media critics to back off from any trash talking.
Clint Eastwood and Dina announced their separation after 17 years of marriage, last week.
According to E! News, following the news of the split, the actor was seen dropping off a mystery brunette at LAX airport. The photos triggered rumors which include Clint's romantic affair with the mystery woman.
Dina took to Twitter to vent her frustrations regarding negative feedback on the social media and show some support for the legendary actor.
"I don't like reading negative things about Clint," she wrote. "He is a wonderful, good natured, brilliant person. No matter what, I attest to that."
Us Weekly broke news of the split last week, and it may have happened months ago. A source confirmed that Clint and Dina have been living apart for some time.
According to E! News, when the publication reached out for confirmation, the Oscar winner's manager, Leonard Hirshan, said he was not aware of the couple's relationship.
"[I know] nothing about this," Hirshan told E! News. "Clint is shooting a picture right now, unavailable to reach, he doesn't have a press agent and that's all I can tell you."
Clint and Dina, 48, married in March 1996 and welcomed their daughter, Morgan, 9 months later. Dina, a former TV news anchor, co-starred with Morgan on the E! reality series "Mrs. Eastwood & Company" in 2012.
