Ashley Judd has recently revealed that she was sexually harassed by a famous studio executive whom she refused to name. After the 47-year-old actress fearlessly shared one of her horrible experiences to the public, Hollywood stars are also starting to open up about similar experiences.
Lance Bass exposed that he also suffered through the same thing. During his teenage years, the singer was sexually harassed by a pedophile.
While discussing Ashley Judd's shocking revelation on 'The Meredith Viera Show', the 36-year-old pop singer and dancer took the opportunity to share his similar experience. The former 'NSYNC member said that he was 16 years old when he was inappropriately touched by someone who worked with his boy band.
"This also happens to men, too. It has happened to me. When I was 16, 17 years old, and we started, there was someone that we worked with that was inappropriately touching us," Bass confessed.
"I was even aware then, at 16, that this guy was a pedophile. He was touching me oddly," he recalled.
Unlike the experience of Ashley Judd which left stigma inside her, what happened to Lance Bass back then did not victimize or cause trauma to him because he was totally aware of it. Even his former bandmates didn't feel abused.
"With the guys we would kind of talk about it, joke about, but it's not a joking thing...I'm glad that we were aware of it and we didn't feel victimized at the time," shared Bass.
Though the 'Dancing With the Stars' talent did not name the man who harassed him, many are accusing Lou Pearlman. The former manager of 'N SYNC and other boybands like Backstreet Boys has been suspected of sexually harassing young boys over the years.
Though Pearlman denied all the allegations thrown at him, he is currently in prison for embezzlement.
