Tom Hank's tweet worked. A woman named Lauren who lost her Fordham student ID has been found.
The famous actor tweeted a photo of the card on Tuesday after finding it in a park but covered up the woman's last name with his finger.
The Hollywood star, 59-year-old Tom Hanks, took to Twitter in an attempt to track down the owner of the lost item.
'Lauren! I found your Student ID in the park,' he tweeted. 'If you still need it my office will get to you. Hanx.'
The Forrest Gump star's move was perhaps inspired by his own experience, when a well wisher went out of his way to make sure the actor got back his credit card back in March.
A guy named Tony tweeted back then, so he can return the actor's credit card which he found on the street in NYC at the time.
Tom certainly isn't the first star to use his celebrity influence to do good. Soccer megastar Cristiano tracked down the owner of a misplaced phone in las Vegas some months ago, proving himself to be an honest and responsible person.
The Real Madrid player even treated the pretty blonde along with her friends over the July 4 holiday weekend to a slap-up meal in the city.
Again, it was on Twitter that the delighted woman shared her bad news/good news with friends: 'Bad news is I lost my phone. Good news is it's with Cristiano Ronaldo.'
In Fresno, California Kerman High School campaigned to get Hanks involved in their homecoming. They designed their floats for the parade based upon the movie star's films, each grade will design a float to depict one of his movies.
Meanwhile this is what the actor's response was on social media to the campaign,'Gear up, Kerman High School for Homecoming! I'm working on something for the Festivites! Hanx'.
