Leah Remini and Valerie Harper Join 'Dancing With the Stars', Despite Recent Struggles

The new cast of "Dancing with the Stars" won't be announced until next week, but speculation is already swirling about which celebrities will be lacing up their dancing shoes this season.

According to Us Weekly, two stars viewers will see getting their salsa on are actresses Leah Remini and Valerie Harper.

"The Kings of Queens" star recently made headlines this summer for parting ways with the Church of Scientology. Following her departure, the 43-year-old actress filed a missing persons report for Scientology leader David Miscavage's wife, Shelly, which Los Angeles police later deemed "unfounded."

According to TMZ, Harper's involvement in the famous dancing show competition was announced on Wednesday. The star of "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" and "Rhoda" has reportedly been paired up with dancing professional Tristan MacManus.

The actress revealed this year she has been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. It was said at the time that she had as little as three months to live.  The 74-year-old actress is just one of many stars lined up to take part in the hit ABC dance competition, according to TMZ.

The brunette beauty will reportedly be joined by reality star Snooki. The 25-year-old former "Jersey Shore" cast member has been showing off her post-pregnancy figure after dropping a whopping 50 pounds following the birth of her baby boy Lorenzo last year.

Other famous faces reportedly on the "Dancing With the Star" roster are Christina Milian, "Glee" star Amber Riley and professional football player Keyshawn Johnson. New mother and actress Elizabeth Berkley will also be sliding on her dancing shoes for the shoe.

According to the Daily News, other names projected to appear on the next season are former "Teen Mom" and "16 and Pregnant" reality star Farrah Abraham, 22. New dad Jack Osbourne, 27 and former 'NSync member JC Chasez, 37. ABC has not commented on any of the casting speculation.

"Dancing with the Stars" season 17 cast will officially be announced Sept. 4 on "Good Morning America".
