Comic book fans all over the world were thrilled to find out that the third part of Steve Rogers' story would be based on the all-changing events of the "Civil War" story arc published nearly one decade ago - and now, it seems like Marvel's Civil War could be coming back to print for a sequel.
The original Marvel Civil War was published between 2006 and 2007 and it crossed over some of the biggest characters in the Marvel Universe, from mixing up Avengers and X-Men (which won't be happening in film anytime soon, as rights are owned by two different production companies) to even killing off one of the biggest heroes in the mix, and the newly designed Marvel might be looking for a rematch.
According to io9, while the company founded by Stan Lee hasn't said anything officially, a comic book retailer has made fans wonder about a possible Marvel Civil War sequel after posting a postcard Marvel Comics sent out to retailers.
The postcard, which many have interpreted as a teaser for a Marvel Civil War sequel, features the two big names of each team as they are on their current comic book appearances: Sam Wilson's Captain America and the yet-unreleased "Invincible Iron Man" fighting it out, while the other side only features the Roman numeral II in the same font as the original Civil War arc along with a "Spring 2016" release date.
Could this be an actual sequel to Marvel's Civil War or just teasing the upcoming Captain America sequel, due out in May 2016?
As Tech Times reports, fans have been clamoring for a second part to the epic all-altering Marvel event for years, which is part of the reason the idea behind "Captain America: Civil War" reliving the events in the Marvel Cinematic Universe convinced everyone right from the start.
According to Movie Pilot, whether this is an actual new Marvel Civil War comic book or not, it wouldn't be the first time Marvel releases an arc to commemorate what's going on in the MCU - in any case, watch the image that's making fans dream below!
