Just in case that San Diego Comic-Con trailer wasn't impressive enough for fans of the comic book genre, it seems at least one of the co-stars of Jared Leto's "Suicide Squad" Joker is quite impressed with the Oscar winner's performance, as Will Smith, who plays Deadshot in the upcoming film, has nothing but praise for the Method actor.
According to the "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" star, the "Suicide Squad" Joker is so impressive, and the actor was so committed to the role, that Smith claims never to have actually met Leto in person, as all he could see was Batman's nemesis.
Speaking to Complex Magazine about his role in the upcoming supervillain film (which also co-stars Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Cara Delevingne as Enchantress and recent Emmy winner Viola Davis as Amanda Waller), Smith was nothing short of amazed at the "Suicide Squad" Joker.
"[Suicide Squad] is insane. I've never actually met Jared Leto," said Jada Pinkett-Smith's husband, praising the "Suicide Squad" Joker, according to Coming Soon reports. "We worked together for 6 months and we've never exchanged a word outside of 'Action!' and 'Cut!' I literally have not met him yet. So, the first time I see him will be 'Hey, Jared. What's up?' He was all in on the Joker."
As Cinema Blend reports, this isn't the first time Leto's on-set behavior as the "Suicide Squad" Joker makes headlines, as it's not only his look and the first sneak peek to his work that has caused interest, but also how deeply committed to the character he was: so committed, in fact, that he began pranking his co-stars, notoriously mailing Robbie (his on-screen girlfriend on the film) a live rat along with a love letter.
There's still no full official trailer for the film, only one incredibly haunting teaser released last summer - but we can't wait to see the "Suicide Squad" Joker!
