Man Finds True Love In 'One In A Million Facebook Glitch'

The universe has a lot of weird and exciting ways to bump two people meant to be together and this Imgur user just attested to that. Six years ago, Schuler Benson found himself logging into someone else's Facebook account --- a "one in a million Facebook glitch" that led him to finding his true love.

"I opened the browser, went to facebook.com, and wasn't even given a chance to enter any login information," he wrote. "I was already logged in. I had to make several posts in order to find out I wasn't logged into my own account.

On October 4, 2009, Celeste Zendler found a stranger logged into her Facebook account and ranted about the security issue. Benson immediately posted on her timeline explaining he wasn't Celeste and that he had "no idea" how he got in there.

"Turns out, I was in the account of a nice lady named Celeste, who lived in Boulder, Colorado," he shared. "She and I had never met, never lived in the same state, had no mutual friends in real life or online, shared no Facebook interests."

Benson, who was living in Arkansas, was then able to logout after the "understandable confusion" and received a friend request from Zendler.

Although Zendler admitted she planned to delete him after a few days, the Facebook users were surprised they "had a lot in common."

"Like, a LOT in common. We became close friends online, and finally met in person in June of 2013," Benson continued. "In the fall of 2013, she relocated from Colorado to live with me in Arkansas."

The couple got engaged the year after and moved to South Carolina where they tied the knot on June 21, 2015.

"I found my partner, my best friend, my great love via a simple glitch in social media," he gushed.

"There are awful things in this world, but sometimes there's beauty, too," he added, ending, "This is my beauty."
