A Georgia man named Jared Fournier recently tried to pawn off his old video game console - which was stuffed with crystal meth inside it.
Jared Fournier took the console - an old Sega Genesis - to American Pawn at around 5PM on Tuesday, as reported by WALB News.
According to Moron.com, Fournier was looking to sell the console for $700 - claiming that it was "special" and "worth more than just a regular one."
Of course, Jared Fournier gave it to the employees, who then looked at the console for appraisal. Of course, employees had to check the video game console.
However, one employee then found the illegal substance stuffed inside the cartridge slot. Allegedly, Fournier told the employees "that the meth was uncut and the best he ever had."
He even tried to persuade them by saying that "there was nothing more fun than playing Sega while high on meth."
Fournier said, "Meth gives you more focus to win video games." The employee then made a phone call to the Colquitt County police. The police were able to immediately track down Jared Fournier before arresting him, about one mile from the store.
But of course, Jared Fournier initially tried to deny any knowledge about pawning a Sega Genesis with meth inside. He even claimed that he was out of the house for a jog.
Fournier was then charged with possession of methamphetamine - which he clearly couldn't deny.
In case you're wondering, it isn't known yet if the Sega Genesis console is in working condition. But in any case, it's pretty obvious that neither American Pawn nor Jared Fournier would still be getting their hands on it.
