Ben William Haggerty known as Macklemore is an American rapper who posted on his Instagram on Saturday a photo of himself sleeping on bed with his wife Tricia Davis and baby daughter Sloane Ava Simone Haggerty.
Baby Sloane is the first child of the long time partners. On August last year, Macklemore confirmed that his fiancée of two years Tricia Davis will welcome their first child on May.
He debuted a song dedicated to his daughter called "Growing Up (Sloane's Song)" featuring Ed Sheeran, when he announced Sloane's birth on his band's website in August.
Davis on the other hand, revealed via an adorable Instagram photo of her hubby with their daughter, that she and the rapper had wed in June after a more than two year engagement.
He said 'I've been sluffing,' laughed the Thrift Shop hitmaker during a December 29 interview on Hot 97.
'I'm a rapper so I proposed and then like seven years later we'll finally tie the knot. But we bought a house and live together so we're basically married.'
Despite his struggles with sobriety, Davis said she instantly knew her talented beau would make something of himself.
When she fell in love with a drug addict, totally can't-afford anything guy, and her mom was asking her what the heck you're doing, she mean, there was a reason, she told Nightline back in 2013. She knew from the first time she saw him perform Tricia was like, "he had that potential."
The rapper talked about the child in the MTV News mini documentary Macklemore Fully Human, which was released weeks after the announcement.
"She's a big baby," Macklemore said. "She's a 10-pound baby, and with a big-ass head and I was like, 'This is, this is my child.' It's this unconditional love that happens instantaneously."
He also revealed that music by another popular rapper "for some reason, just calms her down."
