On the October 3 episode of K'eeping Up With The Kardashians,' Khloe Kardashian is hanging out at DASH in Beverly Hills with besties Malika and Khadijah Haqq, when she receives an urgent phone call from Lamar Odom. Though she seems reluctant to pick up, she immediately does.

The 31-year-old reality star has been through hell since her split from husband Lamar Odom, but it seems she still has his back.

In a new KUWTK clip, Khloe can be seen deeply distressed by the news that Lamar's longtime friend Jamie Sangouthai had died and admits she's worried what this could do to her estranged husband.

“Lamar has experienced so much loss in his life,” Khloe tells the KUWTK cameras during her talking head. “I’m always going to be there for Lamar, especially when something so tragic happens. I’m really on high alert for Lamar because anything will set him to spiral and that’s kind of the last thing I want for him.”

Throughout that entire time, Khloe was his shoulder to cry on, and his steady ship in the storm. At this point when the episode was filmed, it seems that Lamar is already in the peak of his crisis, especially with Malika and Khadija instructing Khloe to answer the phone so quickly.

Jamie died in June 2015 due to necrotizing fasciitis as a result of heroin use. , he was known to KUWTK viewers for appearing in spin-off 'Khloe and Lamar.'

It was a gruesome and unexpected death, one that hit Lamar extremely hard. Add that to the fact that one of Jamie and Lamar’s other friends, Bobby Heyward, also died unexpectedly just weeks later.

Khloe and Lamar split in 2013 after four years of marriage. The couple - who tied the knot after just a month of dating - had been separated for several months before Khloe filed for divorce in December that year.

It was rumoured at the time that Odom was struggling with substance abuse issues and had cheated on his wife.
