Earlier this year, the 39 year-old actress who grew up in front of cameras on the beloved 90s show "Full House" was in the eye of the hurricane of some heavy controversy regarding same-sex unions, when the first Candace Cameron Bure "The View" appearance happened - and it seems like she's been getting hate on Twitter ever since.
Ahead of being officially hired on the show to bring a conservative opinion to the ladies' discussion, the actress and television host took to social media to ask those who followed Candace Cameron Bure's "The View" debut to post kind words for her, but that hasn't stopped many more from being exceedingly mean to the beautiful blonde.
According to People Magazine, the star, currently shooting Netflix's "Fuller House" sequel as well as Candace Cameron Bure's "The View," talked about her own experiences with online bullying last Wednesday, while discussing Lena Dunham's apology over comparing reading blogs who criticize her to an abusing husband.
"I've never been more verbally abused in my life than on Twitter, and specifically in the last few months, having come on this show," said Candace Cameron Bure on "The View" earlier this week, according to The Daily Mail. "A lot of people don't agree with me. That's fine, don't agree with me. But you don't have to verbally abuse me and rape me. That's what they do to me on Twitter."
These tough words come only weeks after the television star and author made her official Candace Cameron Bure "The View" debut, as she was brought in to fill the gap of conservative viewpoint.
As Refinery29 reports, Bure's comments haven't been taken well as, even though celebrities do get a lot of online abuse and name-calling, it's dangerous to say comments "rape her" in a time when women are still often shunned out when they speak of their experiences with sexual abuse.
