Kristin Chenoweth admits to being completely fascinated with Anthony Weiner during her appearance on "The Tonight Show".
The 45-year-old Tony award-winner took a jab at the politician with a song parody that skewered Weiner while showing off her pint-size formidable vocal chops.
The politician and mayoral hopeful returned to the public eye with another sexual scandal under his belt, this one more graphic then the first.
Chenoweth rewrote the lyrics to "Popular," a song featured in her Broadway hit musical "Wicked." The song is a message to Weiner about trying to become the right kind of popular with voters.
"I'll teach you to zip your fly, you won't be that guy with a camera down his pants," she sang. "I'll teach you what tweets to tweet, something clean and sweet. We'll make sure you'll get your chance to be popular. The right kind of popular. They'll think you've become a monk, though they've seen your junk. Now you'll play a different show!"
The actress also gave some advice to the politician's wife, telling her it is time to kick him to the curve. Of course the actress gave Weiner a warning beforehand that she had a few things to tell him.
"#weiner I have a song of advice for you....watch the #Tonight Show @jay leno TONIGTH," she tweeted earlier in the day. She also gave props to Wicked's composer-lyricist, Stephen Schwartz.
Chenoweth appeared on the show to promote her Aug. 23 & 24 concerts with the Los Angeles Philharmonic at the Hollywood Bowl. The star is also returning to her acting roots. She'll appear next to actress Kirstie Alley's new sitcom "Kirstie", which premieres Dec. 4 on TV land.
According to TV Guide, she will play Alley's "conniving and ambitious understudy who will do anything or anyone to get on stage."
Chenoweth will also lend her voice to FOX "Rio 2".
The actress is not the only celeb who is giving Weiner a piece of their mind. This week "Good Wife" star Julianna Marguiles weighed in on both sides of the politician's latest scandal and his wife, Huma Abedin, who has remained by his side.
"It is the gift that just keeps on giving," the Emmy-winning actress said according to E! News. "It is shocking that in our fifth season, this show it more relevant than ever. It's amazing that my character is a character that women are looking to for [an] answer ad to how she feels about it."
