New studies confirmed that Americans NEVER stop eating. As per Elite Daily, a small new study in cell metabolism, Americans literally never stop eating from the break of dawn until before bedtime.
The mini research tested the statement by having 156 participants based in San Diego take photos of everything they'd eat using their cell phones. They then based the evidence on the time stamps. As a result, Americans no longer follow the regular meal time schedule which is breakfast, lunch and dinner as they are eating all day.
Aside from the photo study, they also conducted another study in regards to the theory. They asked eight overweight American participants to schedule their meals for only about 10 hours a day for a total of 16 weeks. They were not given calorie restrictions. During the whole 6 weeks period, the participants reportedly consumed 20% fewer calories. The participants lost an average of 7 pounds due to the fact that they were given few hours to eat.
Though several factors are to be considered on why most individuals would continually grab something to munch on, one of the most common factors is stress. As per Stress Org website, certain food help aggravate stress. Most common examples are coffee, energy drink, fast food, and soda.
It may be tempting to grab junk food or caffeine when you're going through tough times but it is not advisable. These foods should be avoided at all times. Caffeine contains neuro-simulators which is known to heighten stress. Junk food may be tempting but they don't have any nutritional value.
