Cops in Kingston Upon Thames in London recently discovered a forest growing weed. There were about 150 cannabis plants that were found growing looking like pine trees located in between native plant life according to Latino Post.
These plants stand 5 feet tall and cops who found them managed to take some pictures of that amazing discovery. After taking pictures of the said plants, police officers then posted on Twitter their recent discovery with hash tags that say #TheseAren'tXmasTrees and #saynotodrugs. The officers' tweets went on with "Kingston Police called to a few cannabis plants. We found a forest!" and "An interesting find on Grove ward. We're going on a bear hunt!!!!#saynotodrugs #Grove."
According police reports made by The Guardian, Chief Sarah Henderson of Kingston explained about their recent finding saying, "The area these plants were growing on was the size of a football pitch, it looked like a small forest of Christmas trees and was complete with a gazebo."
She continued by saying, "Whoever set this up used a really remote spot. The only way to get there was a 20-minute walk through wasteland. But all their time, trouble and gardening skills will go unrewarded, as the whole lot will now be destroyed by police."
The cops found out about this forest when someone called them and reported about this private place that seems to be abandoned. It may be something that they think was an accomplishment for them to discover such illegal activity; netizens over Twitter weren't pleased about how they acted on it. Twitter users went on an outrage saying cops shouldn't be destroying the place and even reminded them how they still failed in a war that involves drugs.
The Daily Mail also reported it and so far, there are no leads as to who was responsible for planting those weeds.
