Woman Brings Horse Inside McDonald's After Being Denied Service at Drive-Thru

A women in Whitefield, Greater Manchester tried to ride her horse through the drive-thru of a McDonald's. When she was refused service she took her four-legged friend inside the fast food restaurant. 

While inside the McDonald's the horse popped on the floor. The Facebook page from the Greater Manchester police, Whitefield division explains the incident:

"On Saturday the 20th of July Police from Whitefield received a call from McDonald's on Fountain Place regarding a woman on horse using the Drive Thru. The staff refused to serve the women due to company policy. The women than took the horse into the restaurant who ended up doing her business on the floor. The sight and smell of this caused obvious distress and upset customers trying to eat, as well as staff members. Officers arrived at the location and woman was issued a Fixed Penalty notice for causing alarm and distress to other customers and staff."

According to the BBC, McDonald's confirmed the incident via a press release.

"The health and safety of our customers and staff is our top priority and this reason we are unable to serve pedestrians, bicycle riders or customers on horseback through the drive-thru," McDonald's statement read.

The woman was given a fixed penalty notice and fined. The amount was not reported. As the woman with the horse caused distress inside, her friend waited outside during the ordeal, with her own little pony.
