Royal Baby Update: Kate Middleton Goes into Labor with William by Her Side

The royal baby is coming. 

Kate Middleton has gone into labor according to CNN News. 

"Her Royal Highness, The Duchess of Cambridge has been admitted this morning to St. Mary's Hospital, Paddington, London in the early stages of labor," read an official statement from the palace, released Monday Morning, local time. "The Duchess traveled by car from Kensington Palace to the Lindo Wing at St. Mary's Hospital with the Duke of Cambridge."

The couple wed in April 2011 and announced they were expecting in December 2012. Before an official announcement, news unexpectedly broke when Middleton was admitted into the hospital for four days after suffering from severe morning sickness. 

Prince William is on paternity leave from post with Royal Air Force Search  and Rescue. He accompanied his wife to the same hospital, both he and his brother, Harry, were born. The couple has decided not to know the sex of the baby until brith.

The royal family is on high alert. There are reportedly two policemen currently guarding the hospital front steps

According to E! News Dr. Marcus Setchell former OBGYN to Queen Elizabeth will serve as head doctor in the delivery room for the royal family.  

News of the royal birth will come once proclamation, signed by the doctors, is handed off to a royal aide at the entrance to St. Mary's Lindo Wing. Then the document will be displayed on an easel set up in front of the palace gates.
