Kris Jenner Feels Guilty About Nicole Simpson's Death

More than 20 years after Nicole Brown Simpson's brutal murder, Kris Jenner said that she regrets not being able to save her friend over signs of  an increasingly abusive relationship with her ex-husband, football player O.J. Simpson.

“I will always feel guilty that I didn’t pay more attention and didn’t speak up when I thought anything was wrong or asked her more." she said.

On the evening of June 12, 1994, Brown was killed in her home in Brentwood Los Angeles, California at the age of 35, together with her friend, restaurant waiter Ronald Goldman.

She had been stabbed multiple times in the head and neck and had defensive wounds on her hands.

Simpson was arrested and found not guilty in a controversial criminal trial and was acquitted of murder in 1995, the result of the trial sparked a national outcry.

Even though O.J. Simpson, now 68 years old, was acquitted for the murders of his wife and Goldman, he has spent recent years behind bars.He was arrested in September 2007 during a mismanaged robbery in Las Vegas when he led a group of men into a hotel and casino to steal his own sports memorabilia at gunpoint.

He was charged with a number of felony counts, including kidnapping and armed robbery. He was found guilty and sentenced to 33 years in prison. He is serving his time at Lovelock Correctional Facility in Nevada. Simpson will be eligible for parole in October 2017.

Jenner expressed her emotion about the tragedy: “At the end of Nicole’s life, I think she finally was at a place where she knew she had to be more vocal with what was going on and she was in trouble. The one thing she would tell all of us by the time, you know, it got to that level was, ‘He’s going to kill me and he’s going to get away with it.’”

The Secret Tapes of the O.J. Case: The Untold Story airs Sept. 30 at 8 p.m. ET on LMN.
