Mark Wahlberg Jokes About His R-Rated Movie 'Ted' with Pope Francis

On Saturday, at the World Meeting of Families, a Papal event held in Philadelphia, the American actor, producer and businessman - Mark Wahlberg, was one of the several famous people who attended the event.

The Boston-born actor was the master of ceremonies, while the 266th and current Pope of the Catholic Church - Pope Francis, sat on stage watching the various presentations that included some musical performances put together by the families for the said event.

After 14 year old Bobby Hill of the Keystone State Boychoir performed for the Pope and the gathered guests, he apparently told Mark Wahlberg backstaged that he liked his performance in the American comedy film Ted - the flick about a mad talking teddy bear.

When the 44 year old Mark Wahlberg took to the podium , this is what he had to say about Bobby Hill's performance, "That was truly like an angel's voice," Mark Wahlberg continued, "But then he whispered in my ear that he liked the movie 'Ted,'" Wahlberg continued, "I told him that was not appropriate for his age."
"Holy Father please forgive me," Wahlberg, a Catholic, said to the pope.

Mark Wahlberg continued, "I've always hoped that our Lord God has a sense of humor when it comes and regards to many of the movies that I've made. So far, there has been no word as to what the Holy Father thought of Wahlberg's movie Ted. The World Meeting of Families is the world's largest assembly of Catholic families, that have arranged 100 speakers, panel discussions and workshops.

In addition, The World Meeting of Families also had performers such as Aretha Franklin and Andrea Boccelli gracing the event.

The Cuban and U.S. trip of Pope Francis was organized to coincide with The World Meeting of Families event. On Sunday, the Pope will wrap up his visit to North and Central America.
