Prince William, his brother Prince Harry and the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton stepped out in unison to attend the Rugby World Cup on Saturday evening – but the family were split as to who they were supporting.

Prince William wife Kate Middleton took in the Rugby World Cup in London on September 26, and snuck in a quick snuggle between cheering for their favorite team.

William and Kate, who recently returned to the spotlight following maternity leave, joined forces to cheer on Wales, while Harry showed his loyalty to the host nation England.

It had been billed as the biggest match between the two countries in decades, and one of the many families divided by the clash between England and Wales were the royals.

Prince William is the vice patron of the Welsh Rugby Union, so he had to come out to the stadium in Twickenham, London, to see Wales play against England.

The Duke and Duchess' efforts didn't go to waste, as Wales managed to clinch a 28-25 victory over England in the final minutes of the game.

Unable to contain his excitement, William, who sported a red zip-up Wales jacket for the match, embraced his wife and clapped loudly as the final whistle was blown. A slightly disappointed Harry, in his England rugby top, was pictured sporting a less than thrilled expression.

William, Kate and Harry attended the opening ceremony of the tournament last week, where Harry gave a speech in his capacity as honorary president of England Rugby 2015, the organizing committee staging the contest.

This month marks a return to royal duties for Kate, who has been on maternity leave since welcoming her daughter Charlotte in May.

Earlier this week the Duchess championed a cause close to her heart at the Anna Freud Centre, which promotes mental health in children, followed by a visit behind bars to a women's prison in Surrey.
