'Matt Damon' on His Dream Superhero Role: "I wanted to play Daredevil"

Popular actor, Matt Damon revealed that if he was to play a superhero, he would choose Daredevil. It's quite unexpected for the huge film star to choose such an underrated superhero. Damon, who is good friends with fellow superstar, Ben Affleck, who played the superhero Daredevil in a movie, said that both of them love the superhero. He even claims that they love the comic about Daredevil back in the old days.

When Damon was asked what he thought about his friend, Affleck, playing Batman in DC's newest movie, Batman Vs. Superman, "I think he approached it the right way, which is, 'Can I make a great superhero movie?' rather than, 'Do I want to play a superhero?' I'd consider it if the right thing came along," He answered in an interview with Daily News. Damon also reminisced about the one that got away, which was the movie Daredevil, wherein he said he chickened out on. Damon claims that he hasn't seen any of the director's work (Daredevil was directed by Mark Steve Johnson) back in that time and he ultimately said no, Ben on the other hand said that he had to do it."

The movie did very well in the box office, but according to Damon, Affleck was not entirely proud of that movie. Damon who is played Jason Bourne in the popular Bourne franchise, will be playing again in its fourth installment with him as the star, and asked if he would still do a Daredevil movie. He then answered by saying yes, if ever Director Chris Nolan (Batman Trilogy, Inception) did ask him to play Daredevil, then he would say yes.

Right now, Damon is promoting his new movie, Martian, which is a story about an astronaut left behind in the red planet after being hit by a debris and getting lost in a planetary sand storm. The Martian has been getting positive reviews from the critics. The question is what's next for the actor, could it be Daredevil? Leave your comments below!
