'McDonald's' Reveal 'Organic Burger' for the First Time

McDonald's is dipping its clown toes into uncharted waters as they announce that they will be introducing a new burger into the family, and here's the catch, it's organic. German McDonald's is going to be the first in the entire food chain to release such a menu. They will not only use meet made from organic farms in Germany, but they will also use organic material hailing all the way from Austria.

The burger will be called McB, and has fancy sounding topping to add. Such as Edam cheese, Lollo Bionda, lettuce, and with sun-flower seed buns, according to QZ.com. There will be two versions of the burger and it will be available nationwide in German McDonald's starting from October 1, but unfortunately will only last till November 18. .

The meat used for the burgers are said to be antibiotic free, synthetic chemical fertilizer free, and pesticide free. The source will be cows, which McDonald's said, cows that only run free in the pastures and only eat organically-grown, genetically modified free (GMO) food. Just this January, McDonald's pledge to transition to so-called "sustainable" beef use next year.

This is a way for McDonald's to show what they got. If the sales go well they might just make it a part of their menu, permanently. With new fast food chains rising, such as Chipotle and Noodle's & Co. sales has not been doing well for old fast food chains, McDonald's itself had to close 700 stored all over the world.

This new burger is one way McDonald's is trying to be more health conscious. They have added several healthy orders in their menu in the recent year. Salads, wraps and an option to add apples in its popular children's meal, Happy Meal, are only a few of the list. How do you feel about this new venture McDonald's is taking?
