The Canadian star - Avril Lavigne, who was diagnosed with Lyme disease last year, she allowed her fans to take a peek at what she was about while visiting her doctor for her continued treatment. She was glad to break the news to them that she's on her way to recovery.
The Canadian-French singer and songwriter shared a picture of herself on her Instagram account showing 13 vials of blood, and the 'Complicated' hitmaker wrote, "On my way to good health #TakingCareOfMyself #F***LymeDisease."
In the second photo posted by Avril Lavigne, the 'When You're Gone' singer, appeared to be in good spirits as she sat comfortably on an examining table dressed casually in jeans and a shirt, a pair of sunglasses and a baseball cap.
The 'Sk8er Boi' singer also remarked that, "Her journey is ongoing. Just reach up, don't give up until you've touched the sky. We were all meant to fly."
On Good Morning America, Avril Lavigne was very outspoken about her struggle over her disease and broke down in tears as she shared her journey towards full recovery. As she spoke to ABC's Jesse Palmer, Avril Lavigne's tears rolled down and she said, "This is my second shot at life."
In addition, Avril Lavigne revealed earlier this month her split up from husband Chad Kroeger (Nickelback frontman) after two years of marriage.
Lavigne wrote down this very emotional statement, "It is with heavy hearts that Chad and I announce our break up." "Through not only the marriage, but the music as well, we've made many very memorable moments. Chad and I are still, and forever will be, the best of friends, and will always care deeply for each other. And most of all, our family, friends and fans, thank you truly for the support."
