Royal Baby Watch: Kate Middleton Due Date Quickly Approaching

Britain is officially on baby watch.

According to ABC News, photographers and news outlets are camped outside the hospital where Kate Middleton is supposed to give birth to her first child with husband Prince William. 

The couple, known as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge since their royal wedding in April 2011, announced they were expecting in December 2012. Before an official announcement, new unexpectedly broke when Kate was admitted into the hospital for four days after suffering from severe morning sickness. 

Kate and William have chosen to wait to learn the sex of their baby, according to ABC..

Although the due date has not been reported, the duchess has stopped all official duties. Prince William, who is a helicopter search-and -rescue pilot, is on standby at an air force base in north Wales to be rushed back to London, according to the Huffington Post. 

The formal birth announcement, will be made in front of the Buckingham Palace. The newborn is third in line to the throne. 

Kate and William will not be the only parents celebrating the Royal Baby's birth.  According to the Huffington Post, children born in the United Kingdom on the same day as the royal baby will receive a "lucky" silver coin from the Royal Mint. 

The souvenir will be marked with the year 2013. There will only be 2,013 of them made and parents must register their baby's birth certificate through  "The Royal Mint's Facebook Page."
