'Goop' Expansion: 'Gwyneth Paltrow' to Open Own Company's Food Truck

Gwyneth Paltrow in her recent interview with "Conde Nast Traveler" stated that she's thinking of opening a food truck for her next lifestyle brand, Goop.

As reported by Yahoo, Paltrow has been dreaming of a food truck as part of her lifestyle brand. "I'm dying for a food truck - it's my dream," Paltrow said in her cover story for October's Conde Nast Traveler.

Now, this revelation was pretty surprising considering that Paltrow, a mother of two, forbids her kids from eating fast food and infamously said she'd "rather die than let my kid eat Cup a Soup." Paltrow's plan to start a food truck will definitely include a variety of organic, gluten-free, vitamin rich menu items.

Goop was launched by Paltrow in 2008, initially it was just a weekly newsletter however the actress has grown Goop to a full-fledged multiplatform brand. Currently, Goop sells clothes, home goods, and accessories. It has also collaborated with similar companies promoting healthy lifestyle like organic skincare line Juice Beauty. Goop is also developing its own clothing line with its new CEO Lisa Gersh, who formerly worked for Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia. She joined the company earlier this year to help Goop's expansion.

Goop has expanded from a weekly newsletter into a multiplatform brand that touchese food, fashion, wellness, beauty, home and travel. It has already compiled a four-city guide which includes Los Angeles, New York, London and Paris. They are also planning to include Chicago very soon. Now the company has evolved to a full-time business with 25 employees and a 62 percent revenue increase year over year.

In her interview with Conde Nast Traveler, she described the success of her lifestyle brand. "The overriding idea of the site is, how can we make good choices," she says. "First of all, you never put anything on [the site] that you don't want in your house, or that you don't understand, or that isn't part of the story."

Love her or hate her, Paltrow definitely has some refreshing taste as reflected by her lifestyle brand. So, what do you think of her plan to include food truck to that? Will it blend well with Goop?
