Fans of 'Resident Evil' could now leap for joy knowing that their favorite movie adaptation from a video game is about to hit the silver screen once again. The installment of this film has been renewed and Screen Gem, who is responsible for producing the movie, finally confirmed this information as per Screen Rant's report. The movie franchise is back with a title 'Resident Evil: Final Chapter.'
A lot of the original will still be there according to Latinos Post and this would include Iain Glen (to play the role of Dr. Sam Isaacs) and Shawn Roberts (to play the role of Albert Wesker). Ali Larter will also be there and yes, she is still going to be Claire Redfield. And if fans are wondering if Milla Jovovich will return, then the answer is also yes, as she will be reprising her role as Alice, the hot but weird alien in the film.
Additional cast was also reported and that would be Ruby Rose and Eoin Macken along with William Levy. There is no news about their roles just yet, but we will definitely update as soon as we get a lead.
For the story's plot, Screen Rant said that it would be about binding all "loose ends" starting from the previous installments of the film. It will pick up where Resident Evil: Retribution ended. For those who have not seen it, that's the part where Alice (Milla Jovovich) was trying to fight the evil who is Al, Red Queen for using bio-weapons in order to make the human race extinct. It would also appear that the same sequel would relate Alice and Claire's story with each other. Wentworth Miller was also said to make a comeback on this movie.
Ali Larter gave no more details about the film but she told IGN how she is excited for this project again.
