'The Conjuring 2': James Wan Confirms A Priest Blessed The Set On First Day of Filming [PHOTOS]

When Warner Bros. announced that a sequel to 'The Conjuring' will be made, fans immediately knew that it would be based on another true story. 'The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist' will tell the story of another family that reached out to Ed and Lorraine Warren to help get rid of an invisible destructive entity.

Since the film is based on events that actually happened in real life, it is understandable why the cast and crew of 'The Conjuring' sequel are taking extra precautions.

'The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist' has finally started production and director James Wan has just shared a picture on Facebook, where a priest can be seen in the foreground of the set.

"Yes, we actually had a priest to bless our set on the first day of shooting Conjuring 2!!" the caption read.

'The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist' will mark the return of Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga as Ed and Lorraine Warren, who are real-life paranormal investigators that have worked on the Amityville Horror and the Annabelle Doll.

The Enfield Poltergeist was one of the Warrens' most publicized cases, where a single mother and her four children are terrorized by unexplained moving of their furniture in their rented house. At one point, some of the children would levitate above their beds while seemingly fast asleep. The incident was covered by The Daily Mail and The Daily Mirror, and has inspired several books and TV shows.

'The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist' will also star Frances O' Connor as Peggy Hodgson, the single mother whose home and children are terrorized by a poltergeist. The film is scheduled for release on June 10, 2016.
