Penny and Leonard are getting married in the next season of "The Big Bang Theory" and Kaley Couco-Sweeting is extremely cool with it. The actress shares there's nothing awkward working with ex-boyfriend Johnny Galecki that even her husband, Ryan Sweeting, is a fan.
Entertainment Tonight reports that in her guest appearance at W"atch What Happens Next Live!", the 29-year-old actress was asked by a caller how it's like to work with her ex.
"Well, we dated like five years ago, so I think we both moved on," Cuoco-Sweeting said. "Johnny is actually one of my best friends. It's a situation that ended well. I understand sometimes it doesn't. It could have gone horrible."
Kaley continued to marvel about staying friends with Galecki that even her hubby loves him. "He's one of my dearest friends and Ryan loves him. Johnny loves [Ryan]," she said. "I got lucky."
The co-stars of the CBS show started dated secretly in 2007 and broke up in 2010. It was only until that year that then Cuoco opened up about their relationship.
"It was such a huge part of my life and no one knew about it," she told CBS Watch! Magazine. "It was a wonderful relationship, but we never spoke a word about it and never went anywhere together."
Galecki only spoke about their secret romance in 2013.
"I just don't like to speak about it. And not because I'm trying to be enigmatic; I just worry that it will conflict with people's acceptance of [Big Bang Theory characters] Leonard and Penny," the actor told the same publication. "I get the curiosity, but I don't want to distract from the story."
The ninth season of "The Big Bang Theory" premiered on Monday and Cuoco-Sweeting posted a sneak peek of the most-awaited wedding on her Instagram.
"We're back baby!!!" she wrote. "I mean it when I say, I've waited for this moment since the pilot...nine years in the making!!"
