Domino's Customer Returns $1,300 Found in Chicken Wings [PHOTO + VIDEO]

A man from Berkley, California got a surprise of a lifetime when he found $1,300 in cash bundled and stacked inside his Domino's delivery box just last weekend.

Eater reports that the man named Mike Vegas was on his day off when he decided to indulge himself in some Domino's pizza and wings.

"I ordered some pizzas and I thought I was going to have the day off. I was going to sit at home and enjoy my relaxation," said Vegas.

After he got his order, he took one slice and put the rest of the box in the fridge for later use (midnight snack, maybe?) It was only several hours later when Mike Vegas started seeing "random messages" on his mobile phone: "I was at work so I wasn't answering."

It was at 5AM when Mike Vegas came home from work and returned to eat his box of Domino's chicken wings - where he then found the two stacks of cash worth $1,300, but no chicken wings.

Mike Vegas recalls, "About 5AM, I got home from work and went to my refrigerator and pulled out what I thought was wings. It turned out to be 1,300 bucks."

Apparently, the delivery driver was on the way to the bank, and concealed the stacks of cash in a chicken wings box for safe keeping. The driver soon realized the mishap after delivering Mike Vegas' order and tried to contact the latter.

Somewhere in the middle of it all, Mike Vegas went to share his story on Facebook. In fact, many people were urging him to keep the money.

"I wanted to keep it, believe me. But I can't, I can't do that," Mike Vegas said. Of course, Vegas eventually returned the money and received a reward from the Domino's location in the form of free pizza for one whole year.

Thankfully, the delivery driver was also able to keep his job even after the mishap. Watch the report from ABC 7 News below:
