Upon asking about tying the knot with her 27-year-old boyfriend, Ellie Goulding says she will "probably" marry Dougie Poynter in the near future while speaking to Nick Grimshaw on his BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show.
The 28-year-old singer and her beau have been dating for the past 19 months but are certain that their romance will endure the test of time. When asked if they'll tie the knot in the future, she said ''I don't know... probably. I mean, he's all right.''
However, the blonde sensation still can't fathom how blessed she is to have such a ''fit'' male on her arm and doesn't understand what the frizzy-haired hunk sees in her.
She explained: ''I tell him he's fit all the time. He just tells me to shut up, he doesn't like that kind of thing. But he is. I don't know why he's even with me!''
Meanwhile, the McBusted star, 27, has made no secret of the truth he'd like to make a candid woman out of Ellie and even hinted a couple of months ago that wedding bells might be just around the corner for the couple.
Asked whether he's going to pop the question in the near future, he teased earlier this year: ''Well... I don't want to say too much. It would ruin the surprise.''
Dougie Poynter is Ellie Goulding's boyfriend after his controversial break up with his ex-boyfriend Ed Sheeran that once penned an angry break-up song about her. And last few days it seems that Ellie Goulding has got her own back, as its thought that a song from her new album Delirium is about the red-haired singer. The song, called On My Mind, includes emotive and rather powerful lyrics about a former love.
But Goulding denies new track On My Mind is about her ex-boyfriend, saying: 'People can read into it however they want'.
