The upcoming sequel of Tom Cruise's Jack Reacher, has tapped another rising star in the form of Aldis Hodge, who's coming fresh off a memorable turn in Straight Outta Compton of director F. Gary Gray.
Director F. Gary Gray didn't take all the credit for Straight Outta Compton that has been dominating the U.S. box office, he's also been paying huge acknowledgements to everyone involved, as one of its cast has just landed a role in a forthcoming major project.
Aldis Hodge, the American actor who has been recognized for portraying Alec Hardison on the TNT series Leverage and played MC Ren in the 2015 biopic Straight Outta Compton, is in talks to join the consistently ranked as one of the "Big Six" film studios of Hollywood - Paramount Pictures and Skydance's Jack Reacher sequel.
Jack Reacher 2 film is being directed by Academy Award-winner Ed Zwick of The Last Samurai, and the three time Academy Award-nominee Tom Cruise (Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation) will be in the lead role.
The role of Aldis Hodge was not yet specified by the production.
Reportedly, when actress of Heroes Reborn - Danika Yarosh was up for a key role, the news then came about of Hodge's casting the sequel. If the deals of Aldis Hodge and Danika Yarosh will result in a green light, both will join Tom Cruise and Cobie Smulders - who was also recently reported to have been casted as the female lead.
However, rumors were buzzing around about the studios are currently on the search for the lead villain.
The American action thriller film - Jack Reacher 2, will be based on the novel by Lee Child, Never Go Back. The first Jack Reacher film was adapted from Lee Child's One Shot, where the titular character of Tom Cruise returns to his former military base in Northern Virginia, but he found out that he has been accused of murder, that happened a year before.
