A phone call to Elton John from the Russia's President Vladimir Putin has been revealed that it is a prank by the two TV presenters.
The 68 year old "Circle of Life" composer married to David Furnish received a call from the Russian President Vladimir Putin, the musician believed that it was true but turned out to be a prank call from two TV presenters Alexei Stolyarov and Vladimir Krasnov, one of the two plays Putin and the other one translates his messages.
On their conversation musician Elton John agreed to attend a gay pride parade in Moscow and talked the concerns about the violence in Russia regarding the members of (LGBT) community Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender.
Elton asked the president to talk and meet face to face whose country has long withered for its treatment of homosexual people.
The musician said ''I would welcome [dialogue] because things get done better when you see somebody and you meet them. If both our offices can find a convenient date where we can convene and have a really wonderful discussion ... that would be a miracle. It would be fantastic, and it would be a dream come true.''
Then after Elton John opened his instagram, posted the picture of Russian president and wrote ''Thank-you to President Vladimir Putin for reaching out and speaking via telephone with me today. I look to forward to meeting with you face-to-face to discuss LGBT equality in Russia. @president_vladimir_putin @ejaf #lgbt #lgbtrights #ShareTheLove (sic).''
President's spokes person denied the call took place and said ''I don't doubt that if there is such a request, the president will be ready to meet with Elton John among others to give answers to all the questions that he might ask. But we haven't received such signals yet.''
The persons who pranked Elton John recorded their conversation and aired on state TV before they upload in youtube.
After the musician said that he would love to discuss the issue in face to face on Russian president the pranksters couldn't resist calling Elton John.
Pranksters told ABS news ''We just couldn't pass up this opportunity to see what Elton John would say if he thought he was really speaking to Putin.''
