A Kenyen trapeze artist fell from a height of 85 feet during his performance at the Moscow circus last month.
Twenty-three year-old Karo Christopher Kazungu, was healthy enough to speak to the press about his horrifying experience on Thursday.
"Doctors hurried up to take me to the hospital and I thank that they saved my life," Kazungu said.
He was performing a complicated procedure all the way up in the rafters, when he lost control and fell 85 feet through a safety net.
"I am so sad for that man," said one viewer according to EnStarz.com. "I hope he will have a full recovery...It's just it was a tremendously horrific fall and I don't know how a human can survive such an impact and then recover fully and go back to the same work. Incredible. Also we should give the credit to his physical condition in helping him to survive and heal..."
Kazungo suffered serious injuries, including a fractured vertebra according to ABC. Immediately following the fall he was rushed to the hospital.
Ironically, Thursday's press conference took place in the same Moscow arena where the performer nearly met his death.
He further told reporters that he is "recovering and everything is okay."
Although doing better, he said he will probably work "like a normal artist" and isn't sure if he would fly again.
