Anzor Tsarnaev, the father of Boston Marathon bombing suspects Dzhokhar and Tamerlan, spoke with The Associated Press about his two sons from Russia.
"My son is a true angel," Anzor said of his younger son, Dzhokhar.
He also said his son was "an intelligent boy" who was studying medicine and that "we expected him to come here on holidays."
The father also commented on his older son, Tamerlan, being killed in a fire-fight with police.
"They were set up, they were set up!" he said. "I saw it on television; they killed my older son Tamerlan."
Anzor eventually became agitated with reporters.
"Leave me alone, my sons been killed."
Other relatives held different views of the two brothers who killed 3 people and injured 176 others in Monday's bombings.
Two of their uncles, Alvi and Ruslan Tsarni, told CBS they were "absolutely shocked" and "absolutely devastated" over their actions. They also said the bombing was "not comprehensible in [sic] our family."
The two brothers reportedly emigrated to the U.S. in 2002 and Dzhokhar even received a $2,500 scholarship to attend school in Cambridge, according to The Global Dispatch.
"They've been refugees in this country. Refugees come from war," Ruslan said. He also described his nephew Tamerlan as a "loser."
He called the two brothers "barbarians, wherever they are" and that "they do not deserve to be on this earth...what can I say? They murdered."
The uncles also said that their father had little control or influence in their lives reports ABC.
