Mariah Carey Replaces Kate Upton In New ‘Game Of War’ Commercial [WATCH]

Mariah Carey is the face of the new ad for mobile app Game of War: Fire Age, replacing Sports Illustrated model Kate Upton. Not only does Mariah have the voice of an angel, but she also has killer combat skills, and she’s as sexy and fierce as ever in the new promo for the medieval fantasy game.

The 45-year-old slayed a fire-roaring dragon in the new ad. The one-minute commercial showed a fantasy medieval battle scene playing out with two soldiers lameting their fate.

The promo, accurately set to Mariah’s 1993 smash hit “Hero,” starts off with a brutal combat scene. A doomed warrior claims “this is the end,” but then his fellow fighter pulls out his smartphone to call for the help of a hero. Before you know it, a hero does come along — Mariah!

"Time to be heroes, guys," Mariah said after shooting a dragon from the sky with a crossbow.

As the opening strains of the inspirational ballad played, they turned to a blonde soldier on horseback in golden armor, then to a female warrior leading a charge and then to a large man wielding a gigantic hammer.

The men ducked as an airborne dragon approached them before it was blown out of the sky by Mariah.

Game Of War is a 2013 mobile video game that consists of city building and emphasizes player alliances.

The game was previously promoted by former Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover model Kate Upton.

Kate’s Game of War ad was played during the Super Bowl, and was only 30 seconds long while Mariah’s is a full minute.

HollywoodLife previously reported that Mariah Carey was offered a seven figure deal to be the new face of the app, which would feature her music. Mariah will reportedly do a few other promotional shoots for the game.
