Gwen Stefani Post-Split: 'Be Grateful For Even The Bad Things'

After her divorce with husband of 13 years Gavin Rossdale and a new season comeback at NBC's The Voice, Gwen Stefani is just grateful for her rollercoaster year.

The No Doubt singer opened up about everything she's learned in her recent interview with Entertainment Tonight. "I feel like the number one thing is living in the moment," Stefani told ET. "Because if you can just do that and sit there and be grateful, for even the bad things or the good things, then you'll have peace."

Stefani and Rossdale filed for divorce on August 3 citing "irreconcilable differences" as the cause of separation. The ex-couple, however, planned to share joint custody for their kids 9-year-old Kingston, 6-year-old Zuma, and 1 year-old Apollo.

Despite her split, there are still so many things for the 'Spark the Fire' singer that she considers priceless.

"I've been so blessed with such an incredible extraordinary life," she added. "From the very beginning of time just in my own family and then continuing on to be able to make music. It gives everyone so much pleasure and to be able to write it and express myself and to be able to capture my feelings and then share that with people is just really priceless."

Being in the industry for 20 years - with multi-platinum albums, a fashion line, and a new season for The Voice, Stefani recalls she didn't imagine her career would go this far.

"I never thought of myself as a career kind of person, or having a career," Stefani confessed. "I was so passive in high school, I just wanted to be a mom. So for me to look back and look at all of the stuff that I was so blessed to be part of, I just can't even believe it."

Catch Stefani reunite with rumored new beau Blake Shelton, Pharrell Williams and Adam Levine at the The Voice Season 9 premiere on September 21st.
