It's already been confirmed, The Supergirl TV series is on its way into your TV screens. The show already has a full season order from CBS as per Den of Geek's report. It is a story of 24 year old Kara Danvers, who is in fact Superman's cousin, Kara Zoe-El. Kara Danvers who is portrayed by Melissa Benoist, was sent from her dying planet Krypton to Earth. She was then taken in by the Denvers, the foster family who taught her to hide her super powers. The series then revealed her struggles on how she hid her super powers for years but eventually emerged as Supergirl.
The cast was then revealed by The Wrap website. General Sam Lane would be portrayed by Glenn Morshower, who is Lucy and Lois Lane's father. In the series, General Lane is quite protective of his daughters. He came into National City to enlist Supergirl in a dangerous government affiliated initiative.
Jenna Dawn Tatum was also introduced as Lois Lane's younger sister Lucy. Lois is a famous Daily Planet reporter.
As per reports, the justice league member Red Tornado is also on his way to the Supergirl series. ComicBook.com then broke the news that Iddo Goldberg will be portraying both the roles of Red Tornado and his inventor, Dr. T.O. Morrow.
The website then released an official casting description for Red Tornado stating:
Red Tornado is the most advanced android the world has ever seen. Designed by scientist T.O. Morrow for the U.S. Army as the ultimate super weapon, he soon becomes sentient, posing a grave danger to National City -- including the people Supergirl cares about most."
CBS then revealed that the Supergirl TV series will premiere on Monday, October 26, 8:30 pm ET. It would be aired just after the famous TV series 'The Big Bang Theory'.
