Fans of the epic HBO fantasy series have their eyes set on Catalonia, Spain, as the "Game of Thrones" season 6 continues filming in different cities across the region, currently in Girona, 62 miles northeast of Barcelona - and there's now a new member of the cast!
With each passing weeks there are more and more announcements about the "Game of Thrones" season 6 ahead of the release of the sixth book from George R. R. Martin's series "A Song of Ice and Fire," in which the show is based on; now, a new character is being introduced, played by "Matrix: Reloaded" actress Essie Davis.
According to IGN, Davis will be making her debut on the fantasy series on the "Game of Thrones" season 6, and although little is known about her character for now, it's been confirmed by several sources that Davis was spotted filming with the "GoT" crew in Girona.
Fan website Watchers on the Wall reports that Davis' "Game of Thrones" season 6 character might be that of the Leading Actress, previously shown in casting sheets for the show, who is "an elegant actress with a traveling theater company" who is also a "fun, charismatic, rum-drinking actress in the troupe."

It seems like Davis' actress character is portraying a mock version of Queen Cersei of Westeros (played by Lena Headey) from the pictures obtained from the "Game of Thrones" season 6 location shooting.
According to The Independent, if Davis is confirmed to be in the show's sixth season cast, she would be joining an all-star troupe off camera including Richard E. Grant, Pilou Asbaek, Ian McShame, Freddie Stroma and legendary Swedish Academy Award nominee, Max von Sydow - besides the regular cast of the show, or at least those actors portraying still-living characters.
HBO has yet to give dates on the release of the "Game of Thrones" season 6, but it's expected to come at around the same time the show has returned in previous years, around April or May.
