Police officers arrested the son of legendary Hollywood actor, Clark Gable, on Tuesday, after he crashed into a car, fled the scene and then crashed into six more parked cars in Malibu, California.
Officers suspect John Clark Gable, 52, was driving under the influence of alcohol when the accident occurred.
Gable was driving a white Ford pickup near the Malibu Pier when he lost control, CNN reported.
The Los Angeles County Sherriff's Malibu-Lost Hills station was alerted of the accident when a motorist phoned in the initial crash and followed the white truck before he smashed into the additional cars, The DailyMail reported.
The truck came to a stop when Gable crashed into a home garage.
No one was injured, but Gable was arrested on suspicion of alcohol and his involvement in the accident and the initial hit-and-run.
Gable's family has been involved with the law in the past; in 2011, his grandson was accused of pointing a laser inside the cockpit of a Los Angeles police helicopter.
Clark James Gable later served 10 days in jail, according to CNN affiliate KTLA-TV. His manager, Roxane Davis, said the incident was an accident.
"...He was playing with what he thought was a toy and not a felony piece," Davis said. "From what he told me from jail, he had it out the window, and he was shining it out the window, and the next thing he knew was that he had a spotlight on him."
Clark Gable is best remembered for his portrayal of Rhett Butler in "Gone With The Wind".
John Clark Gable was born four months after his father passed away from a heart attack in 1960. His last movie was "The Misfits", where he starred opposite of Marilyn Monroe, who passed away two years later.
